Best Areas Around Rochester (Buffalo, Amherst: for sale, real estate, townhouses)

I have family in Buffalo and I may be working in Canandaigua. My fiance and I are considering the Rochester area so we can be somewhat close to work and family. What are the best middle/upper class suburbs in the Rochester area? We are looking for something similiar to the Amherst, NY area-safe and progressive. We would prefer alot of newer subdivisions with homes under 200k. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think that if you have family in the Buffalo area, and you may be working in Canandaigua, that you might want to consider Victor as a possible location. Victor is located about 20 minutes southeast of Rochester, near the NYS Thruway and it is about 15 minutes northwest of Canandaigua. There are many newer developments in your price range.

Victor would be a straight shot west on the Thruway to Buffalo, about an hours drive.

Check out MLS listings of Homes for Sale, Property, Commercial Real Estate and Townhouses in Rochester NY, the Finger Lakes region and Upstate NY and search the Victor area for homes.

Yes, I agree...Victor or nearby Fairport/Perinton would be great. Many newer homes, middle and upper middle class neighborhoods, very family friendly with good schools (for when/if if you decide to have kids), very safe, many ammenities.
