He enjoys the big city life. She's from a smaller town in upstate New York.
When John Balduzzi and Jessica Evangelista Balduzzi decided to leave Washington, D.C., to be closer to family and friends, they first choose to rent a home near her parents in Geneva.
Their family began to outgrow the space, with twin 17-month-old girls, Gianna and Gabriella, and Eli the dog. When they decided to look for a new home, the couple contacted HGTV's House Hunters. Their episode is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. on Jan. 8.
"I wanted something that was closer to the city, that reminded my of like being in Washington, not that Rochester is Washington," John said. "My wife is from Geneva. She likes that suburban feel so we actually looked at houses both in and out of the city. Rochester seemed to be a logical landing point for us."
It's not the first time the show has featured the Rochester area. In November, an episode featuring Keller Williams of Rochester agent Mandy Friend and client Karin Gagliano aired. Susan Glenz, another Keller Williams agent, appeared on the show with Mike and Danielle Crisona in February.
I loved the house they ended up picking. Defiantly similar to a house my wife and I would like to eventually own. Its amazing how you can paint a few walls and change up the decor and completely change the look of an entire house.
I believe it was new construction within the city and near the airport. So, I'm thinking maybe the outer 19th Ward or maybe Upper Mount Hope near U of R?
One spot I found was "Murlin Drive", you can see a newish street of what looks like might be houses going in on Google Maps. Right on the border of city limits, and it meets their 7 minutes to the airport claim.

It is in that area south of Brooks Avenue, that I mentioned and thought about earlier. It isn't too far from Genesee Park Boulevard, which is a pretty nice street throughout its full length as well.
