I lived there for one year when I went to the U of R. The urban environment didn't bother me since I'm black and came from one. However the lack of services did bother me since I had no car the first year and had to take the bus to Wal-Mart.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely must live near the U of R.

Go to 14610 it's better.

The 14609 zip code is generally fine if you are east of Culver Road. West of Culver Road goes from iffy to downright bad pretty fast, though there are a few ok streets between Goodman and Culver. Anything along North Winton and points east is solid.
