Hi everyone,
I'm starting to become fairly regular on this site and had another quick question. Its official we will be moving to Hilton at the end of July, closing scheduled July 30th.
So now for the most important question, where will I be able to find really good pizza? I've heard there are good places in the city but i'm looking for something close that we can use on a regular basis. Also any other good resturaunt tips would be appreciated!!!

In relation to Hilton you have several places in Greece. Ricci's is at Long Pond and Latta. There are others in that general area. There's a place in Hilton by the Big M market, but I can't remember the name.

Main Street Pizza in Brockport is good NYC style (the original owner was from the Bronx and taught the current owners how to make it). Little Louie's at the corner of 104 and 259 isn't bad. There are two shops in town that I am not fond of (one right in the village and one by McDonalds). Krony's in Hamlin and Spencerport aren't bad. There is a place at N. Greece Road and Latta that is pretty good too...Carbone's it is maybe?

For local restaurants: the Arlington in Hilton is a local favorite. Forest Hill on E. Manitou (?) is pretty good. Taste of Texas in Spencerport is good. Chilango's is a little south of Spencerport, but very good authentic Mexican.

[Mod cut: orphaned]

I didn't know that pizza place changed to a Carbones. I'll have to give it a try when I am in town again.

My favorite pizza place is Pizzaria Americana, on Long Pond Rd, between Latta and Janes Rd, by the Long Pond Pub. They have a sweeter sauce than Pontillos and many others.

How is the rest of the food at these places? I'm admitidly kind of spoiled coming from NNJ and usually in Brooklyn for work a couple of times a month. On a side note i'm also looking for that hidden jewel restaurant. There's one down here that your going through a residential neighborhood of older homes and tucked in on the ground floor is the most amazing food you ever had. No menus they serve you what they are making that day!!!

If you guys are talking about the Latta/Long Pond area, then there is La Famiglia's in that plaza on Latta across from Wegmans. They make a damn good pizza and pretty much everything else.
