Roanoke City Market Renovation Opens (Washington: appointed, contractor, shopping center)

Thanks to the Washington DC contractor who has created a makeover of the
City Market. I visited the market today and I think overall they did a good job
of cleaning the old building up, giving it more light and open air feeling. The wide
brick sidewalks with the mosaics really add a special touch. It seemed like a lot of thought went in to the renovations this time. The best part is they didn't
destroy the old buildings' charm. I was disappointed so few vendors were open as of yet, especially the kiosks in the center court. The Market seems to be

I had the opposite impression. To me it seems like they took a unique place with charm and character and replaced it with a shopping center food court. They lost several of the old vendors and had their opening without most of the new vendors. Perhaps it will get better, but first look, I'm not impressed.
