Could anyone tell me why the City Market Building opens at 11am? I am downtown often and I find that the 11am opening time is not convenient for me. I planned to meet someone there today at 11am and when we arrived the doors were locked although workers were coming and going. I saw some delivery people waiting for
someone to open the doors. My party was disappointed and we pledged never to return for a meeting as we felt if the public must wait until 11am to enter the building then at least someone could open the doors on time?
By the way if someone plans to wait until 11am even the outside tables and chairs are chained together to add even more inconvenience to those of us who cannot wait all day to visit the City Market Building. If this is indeed a public building I feel the City should be more accommodating to the tax payers who re:built the place?

Well, I'm sure the businesses also would appreciate the doors being unlocked on time so they can begin serving their customers! I bet some of those businesses, like Euro Bakery, would like to open before 11.

Why can't some of the business with entrances from the outside open earlier? Seems to me that they could open whenever they wanted regardless if the main inside space doesn't open until 11am??? I totally understand your frustration. Sort of like how the Market would close at 6pm every day of the week!

By the way if someone plans to wait until 11am even the outside tables and chairs are chained together to add even more inconvenience to those of us who cannot wait all day to visit the City Market Building. If this is indeed a public building I feel the City should be more accommodating to the tax payers who re:built the place?
