Man tries to rob store and clerk shoots at him. As suspect fled, another customer tried to prevent him from leaving. Suspect stabs the guy in the process. No info on the suspect, hopefully the store had good surveillance. It's also not clear whether he was actually shot or not.
Customer Stabbed During Robbery at Providence Convenience Mart - Store Clerk Shot at Suspect
"Providence police are investigating a stabbing during an attempted robbery at a convenience store in the city on Tuesday night. According to police, the store clerk shot at the suspect who had brandished a knife demanding money — and a customer who had attempted to stop the suspect from leaving the store was stabbed. Police were called to the Broadway Express Mart at 306 Broadway on Tuesday shortly after 11 PM for a report of a stabbing. Police reported finding a trail of blood leading to the victim, who had been stabbed in his back and shoulder. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. The store clerk told police a man dressed in all black came into the store, went behind the counter, and demanded money, brandishing a knife. The clerk told police he had a concealed firearm on him, and shot at the suspect, who then attempted to flee the store. According to the clerk, a customer — the stabbing victim — had tried to stop the suspect from leaving, when he was stabbed. The suspect ultimately fled the store. Police located the gun used by the clerk as well as several spent shell casings. "

That is also of course very close to the Shell on Elmwood Ave. where the woman was recently shot in the head. And of course, fairly close to Long Live Beerworks as well.

"A man was shot at the Warwick Police Department Friday afternoon.
Police told NBC 10 News multiple officers shot the man in the lobby of the police station after he stabbed an officer."
Two people were shot at approximately 3:00 am at the intersection of Elmwood Ave and Potters Ave in South Providence (Elmwood neighborhood). One died. This is the first homicide of 2022 in Providence.

"Road Rage Leads to Shooting
Saturday night, police responded to a report of shots fired on Rhodes Street, off of Eddy Street.
The victim told police he had been sitting in his car outside his home when two vehicles approached his location.
He said the passenger in one of the vehicles -- a red Volkswagon Jetta with tinted windows -- began shooting at the other one, and that the windshield of his car was hit.
Police said they then spoke with the driver of the vehicle that was the intended target of the shooting, who said he was the victim of a road rage incident. His car was shot as well.
According to law enforcement authorities, the Jetta was involved in a high-speed pursuit by both Providence and Pawtucket police."
"Shots Fired Into House
Shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of shots fired into a residence on Bowdoin Street in Olneyfille.
The victim told police she had been in her bedroom when she heard shots being fired.
She told police that she found multiple bullet holes in her living room.
Police said they observed multiple bullet holes as well as bullet casings in the residence."
2nd incident: "Police are investigating a shooting after gunshots were reported early Saturday morning at a home on Bowdoin Street in the Olneyville section of the city for the second time this week.
Police said they found at least 17 spent shell casings at the front door of the Bowdoin Street home and more inside the house Saturday morning.
A vehicle outside the house was also shot twice on the driver-side door, according to a police report."
1st incident: "Full details on the first incident from earlier this week have not been released but the Providence FOP, the union representing Providence police officers, put out a "public safety alert" on Twitter Friday that said: "Thursday morning at approximately 3 am, 31 shots were fired into a home on Bowdoin St. An eleven-year-old described seeing a red laser shine through her window and shots going off moments later. Thankfully no one was injured."
^ Just a guess, but I have a feeling the Bowdoin Street incident was at 99 Bowdoin Street.
