Spending a weekend in Providence at a hotel downtown. Wondering if anyone knew any lots that allow overnight parking at a reasonable rate. Would love to avoid the high prices at the hotels. This would be friday to sunday and I would have no problem not having access to the car for the weekend. Thank you in advance for your help.

I wouldn't trust the parking lots downtown. Your best bet is the valet at the hotel. They charge you a daily rate that allows you to come and go as you please.

Whatever you do, don't park on the street overnight. You'll get a ticket.

Couple options..

The mall - safe and secure, and if you decide to leave between overnight hours of 1a - 5a the gates are up and you won't get charged.

The suggestion I make to all my friends that come downtown is to park in the Promenade parking lots. They are primarily business lots, with an apartment complex in the back which hosts plenty of overnight parking for guests. I haven't had any issue suggesting that lot to guests for over two years. Their address is 255 Promenade St. It's a very short, easy walk into the city.
