The way ad-placers seem to describe every other house or apartment as "cute" seems contrived, as if the landlord is trying to mask undesirable qualities. Or is "cute" just a word that appeals to females, like when they window shop? What exactly makes one house or apartment "cute" vs. one that isn't?
I'm more impressed with descriptions of weather-tightness, noise-blocking walls and crime deterrents!
Cute is real estate code for "tiny" and/or decorated for a little girl, like the bathroom that has all pink fixtures and tile, something like that.
I live in a "cute" little cottage if you want to call it that. It's tiny, 1br/1ba, and 400sqft. The bathroom isn't pink, nor is there any tile. It was built pre WWII, and has lots of plumbing and electrical problems.
Because most RE ads are written by women, and some women have a two word vocabulary to describe things. "Cute" and "fabulous."
That seems like a likely explanation!
