Wondering if anyone has any insight into what houses are gong for in :

Minden
Gardnerville
Damonte Racnh / Double Diamon

Looking for 3/2, about 1800 sq ft for about $225k. I am thinking I can get that now, but am a little uncertain.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Probably not much in Minden/Gardnerville in that range, but I am sure you can find that in Damonte/South Meadows.

Better yet, subscribe to Diane's blog on area real estate.

You'll learn a great deal about the local real estate market and area in general.

The home I sold in 2004 for 520K is now for sale for 379K. Would be a good deal for someone. The area in the past has had rapid growth. The realtors worked with the property appraisers to keep home values high. I'm not sure that was a good thing. My son purchased a thirty year old condo in Gardnerville. When built in 1974 it sold for around 15K. My son paid 200K in 2005. It was appraised this month for 140K. There are many homes for sale there now and the Realtors are hungry. Maybe a good time to buy. Tom
