This is true and I guess in that sense the belief that it is a sin actually makes some sense. I still don't think it is...but at least this would help me understand the thought that it could be. Thanks!

I think this pretty much states the meaning of as with as it is written in Lev. 18. as far as I can see. Any differences anyone else can see, please let me know.
No, it doesn't, because you weren't looking in the Old English Dictionary... not to mention, "as with" is a phrase, which has a different meaning from the individual words. You all like to throw around your knowledge of the Bible, so now I'm going to throw out my English knowledge - I have a BA in English, which did cover study of the Old languages and texts. Take Shakespeare, which is often grossly misunderstood... did you know that "wherefore art thou O Romeo" doesn't mean "where are you", but rather "WHY are you Romeo" - as in, why do you have to be a Montague, and forbidden for me to love?
Have you interviewed most people on this earth? And even if you do not believe the bible is the word of God the act of homosexual sex is unnatural. Sorry but a **** is not meant to go into a ***.
Then I guess all the heterosexuals who practice that act are going to hell... and they shouldn't be allowed to marry either, right? Sorry, but that argument holds no water, considering all the "unnatural" sexual acts that people of ALL orientations practice. I could name more, but I'll spare you the gory details. As I said earlier, it could be interpreted as "you shouldn't lie with a man OR woman"... keep in mind, these words have been translated & re-translated for thousands (?) of years, so NOBODY knows what they really mean. And that's why I make my own morality judgments, rather than relying on the Bible to make them for me.

Nowhere does it say that man should not lie with a woman except in the case of fornication, uncleaness, another mans wife, etc. If lying with a woman was an abomination, then how could our species propogate? Certainly not with a man lying with a man.
