Hi, if someone never gave up on you, why would God give up on anyone? God never gives up on anyone, BetseyLane. His love never fails. He has all power. God bless.
So we can sin all we want and get what? Get saved automatically because He is "just good old Jolly Jesus"? Do you really believe that yourself? No justice?

I don't believe that thought as never even entered my way of thinking .
It's only the carnal mind that would ever ask such a question , suggest such a thing, and accuse others of thinking that.
That question comes from your own heart and a wrong concept of God and doubts about is saving grace.
The reason Paul addressed it in Romans was to answer such an absurd suggestion.
It wasn't the world thinking let's sin so grace would abound it was carnal christians
All i can testify about what as happened in my life since the Lord opened my heart to the message of reconciliation for all , is that it's softened my heart, caused me to be more thankful to him,i'm becoming more and more aware of how He sees me (not how the world sees me or how i see myself).
That i no longer see the world as i saw them before, but with compassion towards it now as sheep without a shepherd .
I am pretty sure all who believe in the reconcilation of all things don't make light of sin , but love and desire Him more and more.
When you see the world through Gods eyes , you no longer judge what you see by the carnal mind , but as God sees them.

I've been called much more that, carnal minded. Still........I believe JUSTICE belongs to Him, but we all don't get a free pass, sorry. Yes, the reconciliation of all things..........each to their deserving judgment!
Sorry....no "feel good" story here! Just truth!! Hurts? Is'nt that what truth does? Makes us see ourselves and hopefully make the necessary adjustment before meeting our Maker? Yes, it does.

Truth sets you free . It certainly does not hurt you .
No wonder you come across the way you do if that's your concept of truth

Yup!!!
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy; for thou renderest to every man according to his work. Psl. 62:12
The religious mind, however, educated upon the theories yet prevailing in the so-called religious world, must here recognize a departure from the presentation to which they have been accustomed: to make the psalm speak according to prevalent theoretic modes, the verse would have to be changed thus:--
'To thee, O Lord, belongeth justice, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.'

Have you bothered to look up the definition of the word "reconcile"? I believe it means, "to make friendly again, to bring into harmony, to make compatible." It certainly has nothing to do with judgment. Besides, if you're thinking of a specific scripture (maybe you're not, but I suspect you might be), the reference is to "the restitution of all things," not "the reconciliation of all things."

To Reconcile=
To cause to be friendly again.
To conciliate anew.
To restore to friendship.
To bring back to harmony.
To cause to be no longer at variance.
To bring to acquiescence and quiet submission.
To bring to agreement.
To bring into consonance and accord.
To make compatible.
To call back to fellowship.
To restore to fellowship.
To settle, harmonize and make compatible.
To bring together/ conciliate/ placate/ re-unite/ adjust.
I appreciate the concern, mostly from the UR people here, but the doctrine of eternal punishment is not the main reason I reject Christianity, its that I cannot reconcile theistic religion with science, specifically biological evolution. I know that there are Christians who do accept evolution; John Polkinghorne, Keith Ward, Ken Miller etc., but I cannot.
