They seem identical.
If you have a relationship with God and know Him, you know.

Just as you would with anyone you have a conversation with, it's not audible, but yes He does speak to me.

What if its just your mind playing tricks on you? (Or worse!)

Throughout history people have claimed to hear God talking to them - but its a different god from culture to culture. Some times its tribal, like with a medicine man claiming to talk with spirits of their ancestors, sometimes its Greek Oracles, communing with the Gods. Most religions claim to be able to talk to their gods. Modern, ancient, urban and rural.

Do you think all those people actual talk to their God too, or do you think they are fooling themselves?

And if you know other people fool themselves about talking with God, how can you be sure you haven't done the same thing?

Religions are man made.
I believe there is only ONE God and He will never tell anyone to do anything that contradicts His Word. The Holy Spirit enable us (Christians) to discern truth from error.

Only Christians? Do you have to be the right kind of Christian? What about all the other beliefs? Many also believe in prayer, so do their prayers get answered?

I know thats what you believe, but how do you know you are not like all of the other religious people whom you must think are fooling themselves?

You do agree that the other religious people are fooling themselves, right? They each have their own "Holy Spirit" that enables them to discern truth from error. Yet you know they are just mistaken. No matter how certain they are, (and I'm sure they are just as certain as you are certain) they are wrong. So how do you know your "holy spirit" is right, and their "holy spirit" is wrong?
