Unfortunately this is so we can live a life of luxury.

Well, I lost my son at the age of 30 and I can tell you that, as far as I can tell, there was no good reason for it! He left an eight-year-old son and a wife who both needed him, not to mention a grieving mom. If it was God's Will, then shame on God!

I can believe that his spirit possibly chose its time to go...maybe he had accomplished or learned all he was meant to...I can't say...but as far as God having some great reason for it...nonsense.

If people could choose their own time of death it would only be logical to assume that no one would ever die.

People...meaning our conscious selves...true. We would live forever. But if we do have spirits that are allwise and knowing, perhaps they know when to go. I don't know...just muttering here

So sorry to hear of your loss. Your son was far too young and a parent should never outlive a child. His wife and child will be fine, it's just hard to see it right now. May love heal you in your time of sadness.

As for all things happening for a reason? Some say there are no mistakes, in a sense I believe this but I also feel that there are many mystery's that we cannot begin to "figure out". We embrace life and sometimes it feels as if we were dealt a bad hand. We accept the pain with the happiness and we send love to all that is and forgive others and ourselves along the way. Unconditional love will heal us from a feeling of victimhood. That is what I believe, but I still have yet to accomplish it. I do feel that we are here to constantly make choices some are easier than others and some are very painful. I believe in Love and I believe it can wash away our agony or stress when we are living in what appears to be a "negative" or "unfair" situation. Blessings to all.

Absolutely,

Some of the countries are ruled by dictators that get a pay raise as the population decreases.
Some are afflicted by environment and poor skills
Some are devistated by natural disasters brought on by a wicked world.

And last but not least, we as people are very poor sharers.

godspeed,

freedom

Don't blame God. There is plenty of food in the world to go round. But evil people who don't let their countrymen receive the food are the ones accountable.

So one thing I just noticed is a typo on my part. It is supposed to be 30,000 per day, not hour... Either way, that's a good sized city every day.

I understand the reasons that these things happen, a large part of the problem is that the people with the power to do something about it stand little to gain, and much to lose (material-wise).

when I posed the question, I meant how can that happen for a reason (as in to serve some higher purpose)?

If that is part of the "big plan" count me out of whatever your god wants. If it is because of human nature, an all knowing god would have known this is what humanity would become so again, count me out.

We humans see the world as a dog-eat-dog world and this is just the result of that philosophy.
Unfortunately individuals are powerless to stop this.

God causes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
Meaning His blessings are there for all, but not all will accept them.
The evil is part of free will, and love does not interfere with free will.

God knows that He loses none of His children, its not as emotional for Him as it is for us, and His mercy is beyond our ability to comprehend.

As well, i believe that we came from His kingdom before being given our bodies, so there is a good chance we each have a mission to fulfill for the greater good, and that one's sacrafice is in order to bring glory to God.

1/3 chose Satan
1/3 chose nothing
1/3 chose Christ

before the foundations of the earth were laid.

godspeed,

freedom
