Thru Buddha: One must go thru 1000s of lifetimes to acheive the Goal (Nirvana). Nirvana is acheived thru self effort. And then you basically cease to exist as an individual. The gods and God are not part of Buddhism.

Thru Christ: One acheives the Goal (Heaven) in one lifetime. It is acheived thru the power of God. You retain your identitiy as an individual. You have a personal relationship with God thru Christ in this life and forever. IMO this is why Jesus is better than Buddha.

Most reputable scholars would disagree with you. But your statement is becoming more and more common among the new atheist movement. They're rather pretend he didn't exist than to actually deal with his teachings.

This is not something new. For most of the 20th century, numerous scholars have agreed that there is not sufficient information to conclude that the character of Jesus was actually based on a real person. The gospels were passed on orally for several decades and many significant events stated in the gospels were not recorded by other writers who lived in the same area at the same time.

"the story of Jesus appears to be a cobbled-together collection of features plundered from the many other Middle Eastern religions which preceded it. Take the Sun God Trinity of Atum (father), Horus (son) and Ra (holy spirit). Supporters of Horus called him the light of the world and the good shepherd. He was was born of a virgin and had twelve followers. Sound familiar?"

Clearly you don't know anything about Buddhism or how the Buddha appeared to his followers after his death to continue teaching them. Then the Buddha conquered all the heavens and laid their Demiurges' and Angels' egos low, convincing a vast majority to accept Buddhism and reach liberation. Siddhartha Gautama even when he was simply a Jain would have never even considered converting to the racist cult and lowly theology and mythology which was ancient Judaism.

Someone else who doesn't understand Buddhism, nor its goal of accepting reality and ending suffering. Much less How Buddhism overshadows all theologies and lays them low.
Heaven is the goal of Satan, and all other egotistical self-obsessed beings. Buddhism puts all the heavens where they belong, in the trash heap of ideas.

Wow! This is the most bizzare bit of theology I have ever heard...and I thought I heard it all.

Really? how so? like a delicious cake you've never had before? Most denominations of buddhism do teach that trying to get into imaginary Sky Clubs is a waste of precious life. Those denominations which believe these Sky Clubs do exist as "higher realms" also discourage wasting time not being a Buddhist.

Really? then how does he appear to those of great faith? How can the Buddha be dead if He is coming back to fix the world and teach perfection? Obviously, The Buddha is waiting in Heaven far above that pretender to the Jewish thrown (since the Davidic line had been wiped out by the Egyptians) Jeshua benJoseph, who has by now converted to Buddhism.

No idea. My guess would be large amounts of alcohol or hallucinigenic drugs of some sort. Perhaps demonic forces.
