It's the oldest existing terrorist organization on Earth, and you'd have to seriously question the morality and ethics of any person who chooses to be associated with the Roman Catholic Church.

There have certainly been problems with those issues, but even as an ex-catholic I think you're painting with too broad a brush.
Benedict IX was one. Another, Stephen (I think) used to rape women in the holy shrines around Rome. That's how he got off.

There's nothing holy or sacred about popes. They're neither men of god nor chosen by god nor connected to any god.

I have read Evangelicals claim that the RCC killed 100 million "real" Christians in early times, and that was even long before the "Born Agains" had even arrived on the scene.
The current Pope was chosen by the world and I wouldn't put it past me Satan has corrupted him. He is a total loser.

Not only do I think it is just the right size brush for such a cover -up but I'd bet it is still being used. I could be wrong. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt - all the time that no more scandal breaks. "One more crash, and they're finished".
OK, I do NOT think the Pope is ordained by God. Mainly because "God" means different things to different people and different cultures.
Ordination is a totally human ceremony and you have to have humans who give that ordination meaning in order for the office to be upheld. It is only that there are so many Catholics who recognise him as a leader which makes world leaders give him any credence.
If you or I tried this, no-one would take any notice. If no-one recognised the office as official, then basically he would be one man with a superiority complex.
