Humans are just another species of pack animals and many are still afraid of being alone....so the religious folks need this imaginary entity that is always "with them" to feel safe. They would be terrified of being alone and realizing that what happens next is all up to them and no one will be there to guide them.

I am sorry that you don't like living in a country where 90% of the population believes in the spiritual. Have you considered North Korea? Or maybe tolerance? Be happy in yourself and rejoice in the freedom which this country offers!

And learn how to read a color coded map, (or get a better monitor) the US is 78%, and dropping.

The Christian population is 80%, and is not dropping. It dropped slightly due to high immigration from many Asian countries which needs to be stopped!
