Rumor is circulating high up in the Vatican and therefore deserves close attention. The Pope has not rejected the possibility of his resignation when he turns 85 in April "

If that is true, then he surely wasn't pope for long.
I heard that jesse ventura is a possible candidate. :/

It would be interesting to see an American pope, perhaps Cardinal Dolan, I think that may open up the pipeline from the American cash cow.

I can't remember what I heard with the end of time prophecy that related to the last pope but could this be a part of it? My brother is really into this stuff and I know he mentioned something but he talks as much as I do so I don't remember everything he says and he doesn't give a "test" like my older son to see if I caught it all, thank goodness!

Yes, time for a bunch of old white men to elect another old white man that has never had sex (with the possible exception of little boys) to dictate to people that birth control is verboten and a sin.

It is likely that the next pope will be selected to reflect the contemporary Catholic community, and thus be from a third world country, probably an African.

I guess he's unplugging his phone. In today's age of twitter, isntant messaging - I can imagine being God's messenger-boy could get quite annoying after awhile. No peace or quiet.
