what are the dangers of christian fundamentalism? (suicide, Muslim, bible)

I had a guy tell me that christians are as dangerous as muslim fundamentalists and hence, it's the true religion.
Can christians be a danger, in their own fundamentalism? I know they can be hateful, but dangerous? What are the dangers.
Hatred is always a danger. Once you find justification for hatred, it allows for the justification of hate groups and political usage of the religion. One of the strongest tools any government can use to unify the people into a common goal is to give a target to hate. The best Example to date was Nazi Germany. Nazi socialism would never have been accepted if it had not provided a reason for the poverty Post WW1 Germany was facing. they would not have united and put aside personal desires without a common enemy they good blame for their problems. Nazi grew because it was able to use Christianity to unite with hatred for Jews and justified this hatred by using fundemental beliefs.
So what danger is there? Ask those who were sent to the death camps.
I prefer an honest answer, otherwise, please refrain. If you think you are too good for suicide bombers, Jesus said he didn't come for the well but the sick. As a christian, there should be no room for this arrogance, but only humility, gratitude.

Thanks for your comments. My posts are not spam, simply my thoughts. I welcome insight from both christians and non-christians, although my issue in this case was with a christian I was dealing with. I don't think his behavior disproves christianity, but it is not necessarily biblically correct behavior, in my view. One of the reasons I respect christianity is that Jesus example was the opposite of many christians today. They are spoiled and enjoy the 'free ride' He has afforded them. But He is the first to talk about hypocrites and christians who 'think they are christians'.
But tell me, why was my friend (and many other christians) ridiculing another religion (I won't say which one, but it's an easy guess).
Why do christians feel they can sit and laugh at other religions. I don't think this is exemplefied in the Bible. They appear to assume this level of superiority, and even feel the freedom to mock others. Look at some of the answers I am getting from christians here, that says it all.

It's the same reason I mock christians: I'm right and they're wrong. Look at how stupid they are for believing a poor carpenter from 2000 years ago is god and loves them dearly, and even made a whole universe just for them because he loves them so much.
If only they knew we are actually just hairless bipedal apes fated with big complicated brains by pure chance that come and go in a blink of a universal eye and are of no great consequence at all.
