This would be one of the greatest finds in history so of course I'd want to be there. I'd also immediately touch it just to show that nothing would happen to me.

Hey MontanGuy, would it affect your religious views at all, or it would be more along the lines of just historical discovery?

Thank you guys for volunteering to touch it....you will be getting a call from me right after I find it.
There has been debate over whether the ark actually exists today. Well, IMO: if it was hidden somewhere (very likely), instead of seized by some invading army, it is almost a 100% certainty that it exists....because it was covered in gold plate. As you know, gold does not rust or corrode in the slightest when in any natural environment...it takes man-made aqua-regia to dissolve gold. (hydrochloric and nitric acid mixed...if memory serves me right...)
Quiz: Do any of you remember what was inside of the ark.....??? How did the poles for carrying it attach to the ark? What was on top of the ark?
(no cheating by google searching, flipping through your Bible, etc....)
And....if any of you are independently wealthy and want to take a CD group overseas to go look for it...please invite me! If/when it is found, it will be priceless....the discovery of the millenium...only finding Noah's ark would top that....

Bud

The poles went through some kind of ringlets I think.

Contents? Good question. I think it was the stone tablets with the law on them and Moses' staff....but there's something else too that I am not remembering. Help???

Cherubim on top, me thinks.

It would just be historical and archeological. It would be an incredible find though. Bigger than some of the major Egyptian discoveries.

I would touch it but would wear industrial grade rubber gloves

If they can carry it with wooden poles without getting zapped then the gloves should work, right?

Sorry, I don't believe it can be found, if it was I would be sure it was a fake, just as I believe the shroud of turin, and all the claims of finding Noahs ark are fake. I have heard some claim to have ownership of pieces of the cross. God did not leave any relics around to prove his existance. He gave us faith to believe he was here, and most of all he gave us his written word and the inspired word of the bible of his existance. That works for me

Stone tablets, Aaron's rod (don't know if it still had the blooms on it), and a jar of manna.

These were the contents during the wilderness travels. However, later one of these items is missing, if I recall correctly. I just don't remember what was missing.

Fascinating. That might be worth studying out for the significance.

Did you know that, blueberry, or have you been out 'google-ing'?

Bud, ya gonna leave us hangin' here?
