One of our family here , Mams, is in need of our prayers and encouragement tonight. His brother has suffered a heart attack. Please read his message in the Prayer Request and post some words of encouragement for him..Love and hugs to all of you..Blue
Mark,
I got up this morning to a very active prayer request thread. I had read about your brother earlier in the evening and said a prayer and again before going to bed. I hope all is well. When I got up this morning I was reminded what a wonderful group of people we have here on this forum and again I lifted my prayers to God. Now that God is watching over you and your family and that there are some amazing people who are praying for you.
God Bless,
Weather...
I'm posting the update here in hopes of reaching all of you at once, rather than the PM system. Thanks to blue62 for starting this thread. I'm humbled once again by all of my friends on here.
As many of you know, my older brother William (Bill) suffered 2 heart attacks last evening while at work. I posted a prayer request and, I swear, there was a stampede of support from friends on this forum. You don't know how that, in and of itself, touched me. Thanks to everyone who prayed and offered words of encouragement. They were graciously received.
Bill is doing very well at this hour. It appears he suffered those attacks because of 3 blockages. So they did the angioplasty (not sure if correct term) and used the balloon to open two blockages. The third was worse and they had to use a stint to open it up. He also has "heart disease" and high cholesterol. He is being placed on several meds for the rest of his life.
He received excellent care from all the doctors and nurses and our family thanks them very much. I also thank God for allowing my brother to remain with us. I know he's in control and it's His will, not mine, that will be done. I'm just glad we're in agreement this time
Thank you Lord!! Mark, all of us have been pming each other all day to see if anyone knew anything. I am soo glad that your brother is going to recover..Rest assured that he will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. It is my hope that you will get plenty of well deserved rest tonight, Mark..Hugs and prayers
Thanks so much for the update! I say Praise God! I will continue to keep you and your brother in my prayers as I'm sure other will too. Sending you a big hug right now, take care of yourself and keep us updated on his progress.
I also want to wish your brother the very best, mams. When they're able to respond quickly to this particular problem it's generally very effective. Sometimes the angioplasty has to be repeated at a later date but it's a common and safe procedure. If at some point a bypass surgery is needed this surgery has become so common that they're really getting it perfected and it's generally very successful. I've had friends and relatives with these problems so I know how stressful this can be. Anyway, I just wanted to offer your brother and you my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
