I've heard of this "one world religion". Do you think it actually possible for all people to follow one religion? I don't see how. I can't see Muslims changing. I can't see Christians (especially fundamentalists) changing. I can't see Jews changing. Even myself, as a traditionalist of my Comanche people, would not change. There are too many faiths and belief systems that have deep cultural ties to think that many, let alone all, would change to something else.

OR

By "one-world religion" are you refering to ecuminism that would extend beyond the traditional Catholic meaning of ecuminism of Christian-to-Christian dialogue?

BINGO!!!! Thank you for getting this dialogue rolling.

My answer to your question is more or less, "Yes." I'm logging off for the evening but I look forward to discussing this either tomorrow or over the weekend.

Thank you for your input!!!

To me - a religion that is based on love and finding peace within yourself sounds great. Also - the thinking that there is not just one path to God - but that everyone has their own path - that makes sense to me, too. I don't know why this would scare or anger people so much. There are so many religions in this world - does one more really matter to you? If you are strong in your faith - what does it matter what others believe? Personally, I don't think I'll ever join any organized religion but the thought of peace and love ruling the world sounds pretty darn nice.

Really....what is the deal with that???? Why do Christians get their panties in such a wad (which must be truly uncomfortable) when others speak about their different religious beliefs???

Why can't everyone just MYOBeeeezzzzwax...believe in and worship whatever you want to...and respect others rights to do the same.

But I do agree that one day... not in our lifetimes... there will be peace and love on this planet... and I applaud those who are attempting to make it happen in their daily lives.

Now with this gal Williamson, isn't she some sort of religious leader, involved in this Peace Initiative through the White House... wouldn't that be a conflict between religious freedom and government interference if their aim is to ram this down our collective throats (like they're doing with everything else over there... but I digress).

Well, good then...because there's no Satan and there's no 'Angel of Light'.
