They actually do studies like these?

Men and Women Both Care More About Pretty Faces Than Hot Bodies | The Frisky

Of special note:

Females showed no difference in ratings between short- and long-term conditions, but male ratings of female bodies became relatively more important for a short-term relationship compared with a long-term relationship.

I thought this was a given. You can transform your body but there is only so much you can do to your face, even with plastic surgery.

Ditto. My little brother's motto is:

If it's a jump off the body gotta be right; but you can't be my lady if your face is jacked up.

He's not the most sensitive man yet

My nephew is the same way except he calls the girl a butterface or fugly. They'll eventually learn to be more tactful.

This reminds me of a bumpersticker I saw as a child that said "I may be fat but you're ugly and I can lose weight".

I love it when somebody posts a link to a totally unscientific site where the author of the piece currently highlighted prefaces his article by saying, "I’ll save you all the nitty-gritty, scientific-y details and just give you the good news."

I disagree. You CAN transform your body. But most people DON'T, and WON'T. I'll take those that put their health first, and deal with the bent nose and imperfect jawline, any day of the week.

Idk if I believe this. For women, yes, I think MOST are less concerned w/ a mans body, but for men? Idk, I think most care about a womans body more if they are being completely honest.

I hate to put someone down, but most men think Torie Spelling is hot. I find her very facially challenged, but with a "hot " body. Her husband is gorgeous! No defects anywhere.
