I won't. Now, people will ask me how my fiancee is, and instead of getting caught up in semantics, I'll just go with it.

I feel kind of childish calling her my girlfriend. It sounds so immature. I just usually say "my girl", "shorty", or her first name.

And if you are wondering, "shorty" is only used among close friends.

Every now and then I'll call my boyfriend my hubby. For me, it's just a way I show affection. Almost like a nickname. I don't do it often, and never in public, because I do respect the vows and commitment an actual married couple have made. When people refer to him as my husband or me as his wife, we typically do correct them unless we will never deal with them again, like someone in a store or something. To other people, he normally just calls me his girl, and he is my man.
