Just saw today where a Australian research showed that a "stiff alcohol" drink improves men's performance in the bedroom.

I would totally agree with the discovery from my experience many yrs ago.

It was thought that alcohol consumption could cause erectile dysfunction.

The article goes into more detail then what I will cover here.

Too much alcohol triggers the mind while at the same time can slow or stop normal function.

I found that a few small amount of alcohol did increase my desire while at the same time slowed me down for a longer time of pleasure.

No Bang Bang thank you mam for me.

Gosh...can't believe I said all that. Steve

I'd imagine it depends on what aspect of "performance" needs to be enhanced. If you have PE problems, then yes; if you have ED problems, probably not.

And while "a stiff drink" might help many, too many stiff drinks won't help any.

my experience is that men who don't drink alcohol are waaaaaaaaaay better in bed than those that do drink alcohol. Alcohol damages the brain. I prefer to be with someone who has all their synapses firing, and doesn't need controlled substances to get it on, get it up, or keep it up. thanks but no thanks.

Well, it makes sense. Without alcohol, some people wouldn't get laid at all.

From what I know of Aussies, "a stiff drink" (as in one) would be toning it down. Perhaps that's the secret.

Never was in Australia...speaking that I experienced the "stiff drink" or three while living in Mexico. We would generally order a Liter of Bacardi Anejo to the table for 3-4 of us guys. Cantina always had nice looking hostesses working there. Traveling fella knows what I'm talking about. Steve

I can't say that I've ever used it as a performance enhancer but it could reduce stress. My experience has always been that of a performance de-enhancer, when I drink like the average Aussie.

I play competitive bridge at a high level. At the nationals a couple of years back, my partner (we didn't know each other well) was appalled that on the first day, I had a beer or two with lunch. We won our matches that afternoon. By the third day, he said, "time for your beer".

This might have also work for gunslingers in the old west. We always refer to the top opponents as "hired guns". You can't be too stressed if you want to stare them down.
