That's a struggle with every mom & daughter (at least the ones who love each other). Daughters try to be good daughters and moms try to be good moms and both feel that they didn't do good enough.
So true. I’m going through something like that to an extreme right now. Something awful my daughter got involved in, which would show that she isn’t perfect.
She didn’t want me to know, because she didn’t want me upset. When I found out, I immediately decided it was something I had done wrong in her upbringing.
And then! I said, I can help with the lawyer, I kind of feel like I use money in place of that father she deserved to have, that I picked wrong, then divorced.
She said: “YOU were the mother and also the father - don’t think you didn’t already do everything you could!”
Gee, a little communication can alleviate years of unexamined guilt. It was enlightening.
A great day today! Went and spent some time with the kiddos, had lunch at a little sidewalk cafe, did a little shopping, and on the way home we found two puppies tied to a post on the side of the road. They had food, water and a cardboard box for shelter and looked to be healthy. We brought them home and will get them checked out at the vet on Monday. What’s two more little mouths to feed. Lol

That rumble resonates with me. It is a spiritual experience.
I forget my Jeep has “sport mode” I should use it more, yesterday I was hauling some equipment with my old ford and new trailer. The other sound that makes me happy, a diesel with the turbo spooled up. Then pulling the grade and 70 MPH and it isn’t even working hard.
