So I got headhunted for a position here in DC that is outside my field of study for my Master’s. But it is a position where I would get a govt clearance. The position would likely require a pay cut but I’d be back to a Mon-Fri schedule. Honestly, while I’m working in my field I’m not impressed with my company’s approach to HR in the slightest and planning to look elsewhere anyway.

Is it a govt job itself? Or would you be dealing with govt unions? If so, consider it, having union exp as an HR rep is superbly helpful, as you probably know

Do it, you know your quality of life goes up with a schedule you prefer. Unhappiness costs too much. IME.

It is with a government contractor for a federal fund. The job is actually an accounting job which my banking experience qualifies me for. I have no intention of working Further in HR for my current company because their approach is not in the best interest of the employees we serve and is counterproductive.
It is fun watching a kitten turn in to a cat. I am a dog person, however, the two cats that live here are okay. I have one picture where she is peering from behind my computer, helping organize my desk.
Ha I’m doing the laugh/cry thing too! You’re as crazy as I am!
