Every day has held a new adventure. From raking and shoveling horse and cow poo ( lol) to saddling up the horses and going on a camp out to a natural hot springs and old maintenance shack. The shack was infested and the wood stove’s smoke stack was shot. We camped out on the ground with a self feeding campfire, a tarp for a roof, and a zillion stars in the sky. It was pretty cold, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
It's wonderful your enjoying New Adventures......How were the hot springs?
During Rodeo Week in California & Oregon they usually have cow chip throwing contests. They are quite entertaining...
I've been camping & fishing all my life, pretty much. I grew up an Army brat, living on Army forts all over the USA & Mannheim, Germany.
I was in the Boy Scouts & Explorer Scouts.
In Oregon there is a deep blue sky often during the day. At night there are clouds of stars in the sky. It's Awesome.
We started out tent camping & truck camping many years, then we got a motor home. It was much Fun...

The hot spring was pretty hot, but it didn’t take long to get used to when the air temp was in the low 30’s. (My underwear was frozen to a log in the am.) Lol
I got bit on the behind by something... it stung, itched and was described as leaving a 2 inch red spot with raised bump in the middle. ( I couldn’t see it) Probably a spider because it had what looked like two little fang holes in the center. Probably not poisonous because I didn’t have much more of a reaction. A little embarrassing having the hand check out my posterior, but it all “ended” well ( pun intended) lol
I’ve done my share of camping, fishing and hunting with my dad and brother. My dad is an off road guy. He’d take us exploring ghost towns, and old abandoned mines or just sight seeing nature. We hiked the John Muir trail and dirt biked places like Pismo Beach, Glamis, and Dumont Dunes. We hunted and fished in Utah and Oregon. I am down for pretty much anything outdoors.

We used to have many good/fun times fishing, camping, exploring/enjoying some hot springs (quite soothing), outside Yosemite. In that area. Also Lake Don Pedro/Lake Comanche south shore/New Melones/Lake Tulloch/Stanislaus River. Many happy memories...
You gots to be careful around those baby Tarantula's, darlin'. They are sneaky...
Around here i use my John Deere Gator 6x4 UTV to explore BLM lands searching for new fishin' holes/arrowheads/gold/ & beautiful scenery.

My parents have a place in Mammoth, just down 395 from Yosemite. We usually spend Christmas there, skiing and playing in the snow. This year we were able to ski Mammoth right up until August! I’ve fished the June Lake Loop and fly fished in some small streams above Bishop that you practically had to be a mountain goat to reach.
We don’t have tarantulas here, but we’ve got some big spiders.... mostly harmless. Luckily it want a bee that got me. I am allergic to bee and wasp venom.... so much so that I carry an epi-pen with me at all times. Not sure what’s worse... the bee venom or the side effects of the epinephrine. Lol
Nausea, sweating, dizziness, shaking headache.

Had an actual jackpot at the casino over the weekend. Played the penny slots like I do and hit a $750 jackpot on my last $20. Also hit another $200 win at another machine. Nice that an activity I chose over driving Lyft was lucrative for once.

Wooohoo! Good for you! What are you going to do with your windfall? Something fun I hope ( with at least a little of it)
So I finally figured out a definite path for my career. I'm going to continue with the field of psychology. Apparently the journey isn't as lengthy as I thought it would be. I can easily obtain my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, complete an internship, take the test for licensing within the next 2-3 years (hopefully I can fast track it) then begin counseling in a hospital or school. I met someone at my new job who explained her experience with it and considering I graduated with a 3.7 GPA it should be a snap. Needless to say I'm extremely excited for my future.
