I liked XP, too. I ran it until it stopped altogether. I have a laptop, but I also have an extra mouse & keyboard. I should have stuck with a desktop . . . I rarely have reason to pick it up & take it anywhere.

I will be issued a work laptop soon. The PC I use should be a laptop. In case I need to wander out to the garage or pickup. I am toying with the idea of a new laptop. Even if it is an infrequently used deal.

Convenience can be cost-effective. (Or is cost-justified a better term?)

Exhausted & can't believe it's only Thursday.

On top of everything else, my car needed hundreds of dollars of work done twice this last month, and now my fridge has died. I'll be shopping after work for a new one. Yippee. Good times. Ha!

It always seems to go that way. You get a few bucks saved and then the water heater takes a poopy on you. LOL

Sorry to hear this.

I hope you have a good mechanic who you can trust to tell you the truth about what is wrong with your car, meta.

See if the fan on your fridge has stopped spinning. Mine is a General Electric. Sometimes the fan stops, it stops cooling. It's in the back about middle position. I spin the fan with a pencil, she starts up. It works perfectly after that for 6-9 months.
