My point is, there is a certain type of person who likes parties and bars--and a certain type of person who thinks these things are sheer torture (I fall into the later group). To meet more women (and a different kind of woman), try some different things other than bars.

My misunderstanding then. I though you were going to bars and asking where women go if they don't go there because of that. Bars are loud, annoying, and a waste of money and sometimes a meat market. You aren't missing much.
No apathy. If you read some of my earlier posts in this thread you will see why I thought approaching women was not a good idea.
