My brother has come down for the holidays. He lives in the Toronto and the Ontario suburbs alternately. And sometimes works from British Columbia.
His words:

We've been running around NYC and Connecticut. Last time he was here, I was in Charlotte. NC. We went downtown and he made a similar remark. I'm not buying this Canadian moose p!$$
Oh, I see loads of beautiful women around my town, it's just that none of them are on dating websites (or not this one, at least).
Apparently someone gave me either a four or five star rating. I haven't yet figured out how to tell which, but I got an email saying so. So I feel somewhat obligated to give this girl a similar rating, but I can't because I don't find her even remotely attractive. What a great system.
A little update now that it's been about seven months. Shortly after I signed up I received messages from two women. One just said, "Hello". I responded and never heard another word from her. Oh well. The second seemed...okay. Almost certainly not someone I'd care to date, but possibly a friend instead. We messaged each other a couple of times and then I didn't hear a peep from her for about a month or two. Finally gave up and just forgot all about it. Then I got another message from her, and I responded and never heard from her again. Those are the only two people who have sent me messages in the entire seven months, and I still haven't found anyone in my town who appeals to me enough to bother sending a message. In other words, this "experiment" has been quite a failure.
