I know it's definitely possible. I think it's also part of your healing process.

I've forgiven a few people that went beyond hurting me. One I still "talk" to and the other one I despise as a person.
I'll do what's necessary to heal from the anger via counseling or coping skills, but my heart has forgiven them both. I won't be in the same room with the other one unless there was great remorse and an apology from them, but that's never gonna happen and I accept that.
