I'm assuming and apple pie and not just an apple? Not sure I have one. I more into chocolate and cream and key lime types.... I do like apple with lots of cinnamon...Yummy. I need a fool proof recipe for one of those too.

Mrs. Smith's. It doesn't get much easier than that. As a bonus, it makes the kitchen smell good too.

Homemade Pizza Dolce is hands down the best. If you know what it is your mouth is watering right now. If you dont know, just think of something that makes your microwave Mrs. Smith or Carvel cake taste like you are eating banana skins out of a garbage pail.

I thought it was this thread asking about meringue while traveling but I can't seem to find it now.

Here is a hint for meringue to keep it from 'weeping'. Never add more than 2 T. of sugar for each egg white and the oven should never be above 325° when browning. I put about 1 1/2 t. of cornstarch in mine to help keep the eggs whites stable. I have never had a problem transporting my pies with meringue maybe this is why.

My favorite fruit pie is blueberry, especially when it's heated with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

My favorite pie of all is French silk pie from Baker's Square, but since my local restaurant is no longer in business , the next best thing is chocolate silk from Polly's Pies.

I did. My son loved it!!!

Tonight we made the Oatmeal Pie. 'Cept I was cooking other things and put the sucker in at 450 not at 350.

Per son, once you peel off the black layer on top its also very good.
