Does anyone know of a good shrimp fried rice recipe. I have searched high and low on the internet for a good recipe. I would love to have a good recipe that will make shrimp fried rice that tastes like it came straight from a chinese restaurant!

I like that one, but you can leave the Mango out if you prefer.

Ingredients
1 onion, peeled and chopped
5-6 raw king prawns, peeled
110g/4oz cooked rice
handful of coriander, chopped
1 egg
¼ mango, chopped

Method
1. Sauté the onion in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes, to soften.
2. Add the prawns and sauté for a few minutes, until cooked through.
3. Add the cooked rice, coriander, egg and mango and stir until the egg is scrambled and cooked.
4. Transfer to a serving plate and serve.

Thanks, for the tips and recipes. I have always heard that peanut oil was good to use. I wonder what they use to give the color of the rice and flavor? I heard that you can use tumeric powder for the color.

With any fried rice, it is best if you make the rice the day before so you can stick it in the fridge. This will allow the grains to dry out a bit so you don't have super clumpy fried rice.

Fried rice is really versatile, you can add anything you have in the fridge. I think shrimp and snow pea would be really good, with a little soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for seasoning. It'll taste most like a restaurant if you use peanut oil for frying.
