I recently bought a home and discovered on my own, before the sale, that there are long-range plans to make the busy 2-lane road behind my house a 4-lane. The sellers did not disclose it. I found it by searching planning commission meeting minutes. It was not a deal-breaker for me. I am hopeful it will include a greenway to nearby parks, which would actually be a net positive.
I mentioned this to my real estate agent, when I was selling my home. I knew about a new neighborhood that is in planning that will attach to my old neighborhood. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the cul de sac that is there now, will be gone and will connect to another road. But, he said you don't have to say anything because it is only in planning. It may never happen. I just was trying to be honest and straight up to the buyer.
