The buyer rep agreement has nothing to do with an agent's compensation if he switches brokerages. The Independent Contractor agreement says what happens to the commissions of any pending sales.

A buyer is contractually obligated to remain with the brokerage if there is a buyer rep agreement in place. All contracts belong to the broker this includes buyer rep agreements, listing agreements, and purchase/sale contracts.

The buyers backed out so my agent reduced the price by 10k. It was on the market 2 weeks ago.

What broker name is on the contract?
My thought is close it with the the current broker.

Otherwise the buyer could ask you the same question right?
Can I change agents before it closes?

Just a thought.
