Has anybody used a broker when looking to rent? I am going to have a very limited time to look in the LA area before I actually move and I wonder if getting a broker isn't the best way to go.

I'd love to hear any experiences/opinions. Thanks!

To tack a question onto my own question (how sad am I? ha ha), does anyone know how I can find a broker in the Los Angeles area? Sorry to be a pain, I'm very new at this.

Are your going to rent a home? and in what areas are you looking for?

There are management co's and brokers available that handle leases.

Here is a web site for Los Angeles, choose the areas you are interested in and the option: residential lease.

We are looking to rent an apartment, actually. I'm not sure what part of LA yet. It will depend on our financial situation.

Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the offer, Robyn, but we aren't moving until January. I'm sure your loft is beautiful!
