A new effort is being made by a major US brand to claim it is the number one brand in many categories. This claim is based on the REAL TRENDS TOP 500 REAL ESTATE BROKERAGES, not on the National Association of REALTORS data of all US brokerages.

My point here is that a basket full of 1/2 truths never equals one whole truth. Be certain to understand how statistics can be contrived to make me into the greatest ever, something that we all know is certainly not the whole truth.

Why should a brand being number one nationally in any category matter to an agent?

Simply, it is not important that a firm or brand should be number one. It is the why are they number one.

I intern for Sotheby's and its a prestige brand ........any one with money in my area deals with them or Chase RE........ When you're with a luxury brand you sell luxury homes.....I rather be groomed by them, instead of mom and pops re firm.
