Go for it! When is the last time you heard education would be harmful? The opportunity for great ideas could be a life-changer. At worse, you'll be better informed......it won't replace experience, but it will make you better at what you do. Will it be a guaranty for a position in development? No, but it will get you in the running.

Well to update we finished our first semester at Hopkins. I actually really enjoyed what we have done so far. Even though it is geared toward commercial development, I think it has already immensely helped me interact with investor clients. I wouldn't say it's for everyone since its a very niche degree but I really like it.

3 years later... Working in land acquisition for a national builder. Did about $70M in buys last year around MD and brought in 900+ lots. Started as an analyst and now manage our land deals. The degree definitely opened doors for me. Wouldn't recommend it for everyone but I really enjoyed it.
