You don't say where you are at, but in our area generally we request a 4 hour draw down and production test plus a bacteria test. Your agent should be able to help you, plus ask your county health dept for the min gallons per minute required in your area. We still have some hand dug wells in use, no longer allowed in our county, so that is a red flag, also how close it is to the leach field if you are on septic.
