Seeking helpful information on builders in the Rapid City area who may be looking for additional supervisory experience. My family and I currently live in the Metro Atlanta area and would be interested in the Black Hills area if I could secure a position with a local builder. My wife is originally from Sodak and I know she would love to return. I have been to the Black Hills area myself and thought it would be a nice place to live if I could secure the right income and handle the weather. I have lots of experience and knowledge in the custom home market as well as managing numerous homes at a time. What would be most helpful is a contact person within one of the building outfits so I could contact directly. The housing market in Atlanta has tanked so this might be the right time to make a move. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Rapid City has lots of contractors but I believe things have slowed down up here too. The recession is not as prevalent as the coasts (ie: FL and CA) but there have been a few layoffs up here too and some homes sit empty.
