Wonderful group helping tethered dogs! (Charlotte, Raleigh: fencing, donations, building)

If you see a tethered animal in Durham County please know that it is now illegal to tether dogs or any animal for that matter. "Owners" have until July to comply with fencing alternatives. If you do see a tethered animal, first contact Animal Control. There is a poor dog that I am trying to help and she is on the list of hopefuls for the Coalition to Unchain Dogs to come in and help.

This wonderful group, Coalition to Unchain Dogs, will come in and help with spay, neutering, vaccinations, and build a nice large pen for this poor soul that has been kept prisoner by a chain or rope.

They also can always use volunteers - every week they are digging post holes and building fences in Raleigh, Durham, and are spreading to the Triad, Charlotte, and DC. There's tons that one can do to help this amazing group!
