All right. . . . . I've held my tongue long enough
It's better ice cold because it numbs your tastebuds so you can't taste how bad it is.
Ha, well played! No, it is actually an okay beer, but it tends to get a little skunky the warmer it gets. Probably from the green bottles, which let in more light than the brown bottles.

You are correct!
The skunky smell is caused by the photochemical reaction of isomerized alpha acids in beer (from the hops) with blue and ultraviolet light (from the sun, or fluorescent lights). Green and clear bottles let in more light than brown bottles or cans. It's also more common in light lagers than in dark beers like stouts and porters.
Kinda makes you question why refrigerated beer cases in the stores are always brightly lit with fluorescent lights, doesn't it?
Good to read opinions! I've found a bunch online going both ways. Well, an update on the search: stopped by Total Wine in Cary today - they don't have it. Hubby called the distributor they recommended and they have it by the case. We just want to try it first. Looks like a restaurant is the way to go for now.
Mainland, Islands, or both?
Package tour, or self-guided?
My wife and I went nearly 10 years ago and loved it. We started out in Athens for a few days by ourselves. Then we caught a week-long bus tour which went to Nafplio, Olympia, Delfi, and Meteora, and then back to Athens, hitting all of the sites along the way. Then we went off by ourselves again for a few relaxing days on the islands of Mykonos and Santorini.
The Greek people that we met tended to be a little abrupt and assertive, but that may be because we were in the more touristy areas in the cities. Oh and don't expect food service to be as hasty as in the US.
If anyone needs any info on Greece and places to visit, you are more than welcome to pm me.
