Indy said it opened this week, so we went to check it out. The food was really delicious and tasted so fresh. The staff was very nice, especially considering they were supposed to close soon after we showed up. I like to see new businesses on Fayetteville St or just downtown in general, especially ones with tasty, reasonably priced food.
I had a chance to taste their food at a free food-tasting the week before they officially opened. I too was impressed with the freshness of their food. I work downtown and appreciate all the restaurant options. I'm hoping for some good retail now. A bookstore, please!!!!
i'm hoping for an h&m, but i think i've already had that discusssion....
As it stands, H&M is a fun place to blow half-an-hour shopping for fun, cheap clothes during visits to DC or NYC. If H&M came to Raleigh, it would kill that out-of-town source of amusement and make the brand less of a novelty here. I say stay away, H&M!

Bringing this thread back from the dead as Spize downtown deserves more love. I've been hitting this place a lot lately and have yet to be disappointed. It's a great place for inexpensive SE asian influenced food. Their lunchtime "baguette" sandwiches, a variation on Vietnamese banh mi are really outstanding. The lemongrass pork baguette is really something special.
