I saw teaching positions on Johnston County. Does anyone know the best way to get an interview? Emailing, calling?

Default Elementary teaching jobs?

Does anyone know what the elementary teaching job situation is like in Johnston county? I've been applying, but haven't heard anything yet.

You are one in a 100 applying for the job. Only if you are lucky enough to get the principal on the phone and in a good mood, you might get an interview, until the NC state budget is done there will be really no hiring in really any district. Things are awful for teachers here in NC.

capt chill is correct, it is not a good time to be looking for a teaching job. Although there are many positions posted, most have been filled by recent terminating contracts. I do know that some people have gotten interviews by going in person to each school. As stated if you can get in to see the principal you may have a shot at an interview. The exception is if you are certified special ed. That may help somewhat in finding a position. Good luck.
