I will be relocating to the Raleigh area the beginning of June. My intent is to rent before I buy. I am unfamiliar with Raleigh and would appreciate any info on the safest and best areas to live.
Am looking for a 2+ BR, 1+ bath, with a budget of $800 to $1,000/mo. I prefer a townhouse, but will consider other options. Would love to work with the right realtor to help me find a great rental in a nice quiet neighborhood.
Any additional information concerning renting and/or living in Raleigh, would be greatly appreciated.
when I was looking for a townhome, in that price range, this is one I found that I liked. In this economy, you could probably weasel your way in there at the price range you want.
I used to live in a townhouse (2 BR 2 Bth, with a HUGE unfinished attic) in Brittany Woods, off Lynn Road, that would probably still go in that price range. It's a safe neighborhood but Lynn Rd is an artery, so you just hop on Lynn to get anywhere.
Realtors will not normally help you since they make too little on rentals to bother.
