Being a fan of local business and always looking for great places to eat, lets share our favorite locally-owned restaurants. I haven't seen a post like this, so just shout out your favorite restaurants, what style they are, and where they are.
I've had some good food at The Big Easy (cajun/creole) , Tir Na Nog (Irish), The Taj Mahal (Indian), Crystal Palace (Chinese Buffet), and Stool Pigeons (Bar Food).
Player's Retreat, Burger Hut, Casa Carbone, Char-Grill, Piccolla Italia, Roast Grill, The Mecca, The Pit, Clyde Cooper's, Sadlack's, Mitch's, Glenwood Grill, 42nd Street Oyster Bar, Raleigh Times, Amedeo's, Baja Burrito, The Point, The Angus Barn, Snoopy's, Biscuit Station, Hayes-Barton Cafe, NOFO, Community Grocery, Tookie's Grill, Bloomsbury Bistro, Big Ed's, Finch's, The Rockford, Crowley's at Medlin Drive, Oakwood Cafe, Second Empire, Bali-Hai, Lilly's Pizza, Vic's, Jade Garden, Frazier's, Village Deli, Person Street Pharmacy, Red Dragon all come to mind.
Some others off the top of my mine people hasn't mentioned.
