London Fish and Chips in Cary had such a great reputation. I don't think I've ever seen so many people become so excited over one restaurant that they just had to keep blogging about it. Many were disappointed when the restaurant closed and they feel nothing else in the area can compare.
Do you have one favorite restaurant that's so special- if it closed - you know that for years to come you'd still think about how much you missed it?
(If there's a certain item on the menu that you'd be dreaming about- share that info with us too)
That's interesting. I loved London Fish & Chips, but I didn't think it had a great reputation... at least not for quality. I loved it because it offered menu items that no one else around here does; but the quality was hit-or-miss and the availability was even more unpredictable.
I'd be sad if these went away, because they're not easily replaced... Hibernian and Sushi-Thai on Kildaire in Cary. Sarah's Empanadas in RTP/Durham; Shiki Sushi in Durham; Bogart's and Caffe Luna in Raleigh. I'm sure there's more, but that's what comes to mind.
