I'm in search of a Raw Food restaurant in the area. Not just a place that offers Raw dishes. Totally 100% raw. I know of two small places in Durham, but I am looking for something closer. Has anyone heard of any places (food trucks/stands included)?

Thanks!

Cafe Harmony used to have tons of raw food options but they closed down last I heard. You'd be hard pressed to find a 100% raw food restaurant in this area like they have in California.

A good starting point for finding options: http://www.ncraw.com/

When you get a chance you should try the raw food truck. I haven't caught it yet but coworkers of mine who have say it's great: Triangle Raw Foods

Surely you know about Triangle Raw Foods? Matthew and Jane deliver, so you can set-up a delivery service with them. Not sure about any restaurants, though, but if you send them an email I'm sure they can let you know where they eat when they eat out (they're 100% raw).

I just fail to understand why you would pay a restaurant to wash and slice raw food for you? What can a restaurant perform with raw food that you can't do at home for much less money. I honestly do not get it....at all.

raw food is way more than just sliced vegetables. and it is actually very time consuming to prepare.

Save a lot of time, convenience, and maybe they can make a better dish than you? Why go to a bbq restaurant, when you can buy a smoker? Why get a burger when you can buy one and toss it on a grill? Why have your house painted when you have a ladder and can do it yourself?

As Janeyhoward said there is a lot more to raw food than just washing and slicing.

lol... Yeah that was the response I gave that person before they deleted it. Raw cuisine is awesome! It's waaaaay more than just cut up veggies. For those that have never experienced raw cuisine...you must.

Raw tacos are so easy to make at home and they are the most delicious meal!
