Does anyone know about this area?
We are relocating from CA (myself, husband and 2 boys) and looking to rent for about a year before we buy. We want to get to know the area pretty well before we commit to anything.

We will be touring several places next weekend. The lady who is helping us wants to show us a couple townhouses available for rent in Old Mill Village in Apex. They are brand new (I don't think they are quite finished as of yet). Does anyone know about this area? She said it's off Ten Ten road and Apex peakway?

We did a quick drive thru Apex and a bit of Cary a couple weeks ago and really just saw the downtown and up thru the new shopping/dining on Davis (?). Is it close to this area?

Thanks!

BTW - this is my first post here and I'm sure I'll have lots more! You guys have been very helpful thus far! I'm so glad I'm stumbled accross this site!

I actually have bought a townhouse in Old Mill Village in Apex but have a contingency on selling my house in New Hampshire. They are telling me that it should be ready by the end of March and yes you are correct they are still building. The townhouses are 3 bedroom, 1 of the bedrooms is extremely small, 3 car garage 2.5 baths. They are really nice. Not to deter you in any way but with 2 boys I think it's not going to be big enough for you. There is a pool. Not sure if there are play areas, tennis etc. We definitely do not have a golf course. The area is really nice. The downtown is very quaint with a couple of good restaurants. You are about a 15 - 20 minute walk to downtown and probably a 10 - 15 minute drive with traffic to 55 which is sort of a main route now. There are a gazillion stores on 55 so you would never be at a loss for shopping. If you like quaint to city Apex is a beautiful place to be. If I can help you out anymore please let me know.

I don't know about renting there... I have no knowledge. But, we moved to Apex from Virginia and we LOVE it! We bought in the Crockett's Ridge neighborhood. It is very easy to get to just about anywhere from here. I'm so glad we chose Apex! Hope all goes well for your move.
